WELCOME!

Since 1968, TIME has been partnering with national pastors and churches to change lives and bring hope through construction projects, evangelism opportunities and discipleship programs. Whether you’re helping build a new church for villagers, performing a lively puppet show in the middle of a crowded local park, or personally connecting one-on-one with nationals, we guarantee it will be an experience you will never forget.

>> OUR HISTORY
The Founder
Zeral Brown, founder of TIME Ministries, was born in 1921 in the little town of Clarkston, Washington. Zeral attended a Bible School where he met his future wife, Dorretta Brown, whom he married in 1943. Missionaries to the Domincan Republic for some time, God led them to bring their first short term missions group to Mexico in 1968. Since then, thousands more have taken this journey.
The Story
TIME Ministries originated in 1968 when a group of young people from the US spent a week during their Christmas vacation in the village of Pueblo Nuevo, just outside of Monterrey in Mexico. At that point, the ministry was called Teenage Institute of Missionary Evangelism. However, because so many of the participants in subsequent years were adults the name was changed to The Institute of Missionary Evangelism and is now known simply as TIME Ministries. After much growth, the base was moved into the urban environment of the intercity of Monterrey during the 80's. In 1991 a site was opened in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic. From 1995 to 2001 we took groups to the western Mexico city of Heramoseo. In 2005 we started a base in Alemaco, Mexico that moved in 2007 into the near by town of Queretaro. In 2006 we started a site in the largely hispanic area of east Dallas, TX.

>> OUR DOCTRINAL STATEMENT
We believe the Bible to be the verbally inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God, inerrant in its original writings.

We believe that there is only one God, Creator of heaven an earth, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the absolute deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through the shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the Father, and in His personal and imminent return in power and glory.

We believe that man, created by a direct act of God and in His image, fell into a sinful state. All men thus have a sinful nature and absolutely need regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation from a lost state to eternal life with God. This salvation is wholly of grace, solely through personal faith in the work of Christ on the cross, faith in Him alone.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of everlasting punnishment.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ as they are in His Church.

>> DR CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
God is using TIME Ministries in tremendous ways in 2010! Summer groups have had a significant impact in both Santo Domingo and Dallas. A new church plant is underway in Monterrey, and ministries to children thrive in both Mexico and the Dominican Republic. In the DR, much progress has been made with improvements to the facilities, and this work is ongoing. It is time to raise the funds to complete the work on the TIME Office in Santo Domingo. The opportunity is as follows:

Block walls and rough carpenter work
$14,000.00
Interior finish work
$2,500.00
Electrical/communications
$3,000.00
Office equipment
$3,000.00
TOTAL AMOUNT $22,500.00

To this point, members of the board and staff have already committed 40.9% of the total! It is time now for the rest of us to join in supporting our work in the DR. Please prayerfully consider how you can contribute and email lrobinson@timeministries.org with your commitment amount. Our goal is to collect the funds by November 1, 2010, and you donate online now by clicking on the Ways to Give page on this site and putting DR Office Project in the memo. Please be in prayer for the DR Office Project, and let us know if you have any questions.
